Bill and the Big 3
Bill founded the NBA chapel program in the 80’s by recruiting and training Chaplains for each of the then 23 NBA teams while simultaneously holding his position as the Chaplain to the Boston Celtics for over 20 years. Bill's latest assignment was to continue with the "Big 3”, a league of over 100 former NBA players started by Ice Cube the actor and rapper. Bill now travels 10 weekends each summer between June and September to serve as their Chaplain. You can see him on CBS Saturdays, usually sitting in the front row. There are 12 teams , multiple chapels and lots of mentorship taking place. We are blessed that many of the players have partnered with us to travel across the world and into the United States for our Sportspower Outreaches.
